Allegri calls Juventus to push for Napoli star Koulibaly

Massimiliano Allegri reportedly asked Juventus’ management to push for Kalidou Koulibaly during a phone meeting.

The Bianconeri are looking for a new defender this summer following the departure of Giorgio Chiellini to LAFC. Aside from the veteran defender, Juve could also lose Matthijs De Ligt, who wants to leave the club.

Therefore, Juventus are looking for at least one new centre-back who can become a starter next season. They are monitoring several names, but the number one on their list seems to be Napoli’s Koulibaly.

The player is Massimiliano Allegri’s number one target for the defence and he is not hiding it. As reported by La Stampa (via Juventusnews24), during a telephone meeting with the management, Allegri insisted that he wants the Senegalese in his squad.

However, signing Koulibaly won’t be an easy task as Napoli will ask for a lot of money from Juve. Moreover, multiple reports also claim that the player would be hesitant in joining the Old Lady as he doesn’t want to betray the Partenopei.
