Massimiliano Allegri has reportedly opened the door for Weston McKennie’s potential departure from Juventus in the January transfer window.
The American international midfielder’s future with the Old Lady is up in the air despite still have a contract until 2025. McKennie actually still get plenty of minutes so far this season under Massimiliano Allegri’s reign but Juventus are reportedly ready to sell him in January.
The Bianconeri’s plan is also receiving positive support from their head coach, Massimiliano Allegri. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport(via Juventusnews24), the tactician has already given a green light for McKennie’s sale in January.
Allegri apparently is ready to count on his young midfielder, Nicolo Fagioli, and also the club’s summer signing Paul Pogba. The Frenchman could finally return to action again in January after spending the first half of this season injured.
If Pogba does return, there will be less space for McKennie, so it might be best for him to leave. The American international is not short of admirers though as several Premier League teams are keen on him.
Multiple reports suggest that Tottenham Hotspur are leading the race for his signature as their boss, Antonio Conte likes McKennie.
