Juventus head coach Massimiliano Allegri has downplayed rumors linking his team with a move for PSG midfielder Leandro Paredes.
Despite already securing high-profile signings such as Angel Di Maria, Paul Pogba, and Gleison Bremer, the Bianconeri are reportedly still looking to strengthen their squad this summer.
The recent injury to Paul Pogba has sparked speculation that Juventus may alter their transfer strategy to target another midfielder. Several reports suggest that PSG’s Leandro Paredes, currently out of favor at the French club, is a potential target.
Allegri is said to admire Paredes, viewing him as a solution for the regista role that Juventus have struggled to fill since last season. However, the coach has publicly dismissed the rumors.
While admitting that his squad is not yet complete, Allegri suggested that Paredes is not currently a priority.
“Paredes? We have Locatelli, Rovella, many good players. I am happy like this,” Allegri told Sky Sport Italia (via Football Italia).
For now, Allegri appears focused on making the most of his current midfield options while continuing to assess the squad’s needs.
