According to reports in Italy, Bayern Munich have joined Juventus and Inter in the race to sign Atalanta starlet Giorgio Scalvini.
The Italian defender has been putting on strong and consistent performances for La Dea in the last couple of seasons. His fine displays certainly didn’t go unnoticed as many top European clubs are keen on him, including Juventus.
The Bianconeri consider Scalvini an exciting talent that can help the club with his qualities. The player’s young age also means that Juve can count on him immediately but also in the future.
However, as reported by Tuttosport (via Football Italia), competition for Scalvini’s signature will be fierce. Aside from fellow Serie A teams, apparently, Bayern Munich have also emerged as a competitor for Juve.
The Bundesliga outfit might be keen on Scalvini due to his versatility as he is capable of playing as a centre-back or defensive midfielder.
Financially, Bayern won’t have an issue fulfilling Atalanta’s request of around €30-€40 for the player’s transfer fee.
