Bremer discusses Brazil call-up, talks two Juventus teammates

Gleison Bremer is happy with his first Brazil national team call-up while revealing how Danilo and Alex Sandro have helped him a lot this season.

The 24-year-old joined the Bianconeri this season from Torino for a transfer fee of around €40m. He was brought in to replace the departing Matthijs De Ligt who left Turin for Bayern Munich last summer.

Despite Juve’s disappointing display so far this season, Bremer has been one of their important players. His solid performances didn’t go unnoticed as he earned his first call-up from the Brazil national team.

Bremer admits that he is really grateful for the opportunity that he is finally getting and is keen to take full advantage of it. Although there won’t be many games left to prepare ahead of the World Cup, the centre-back is eyeing playing in that tournament.

The 24-year-old promises that he will give his best and try to earn that spot for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

“I’m very happy for the opportunity to be in the national team, it’s the dream of every athlete, of every child, to be here,” Bremer said in his press conference(via Football Italia).

“I know we’re close to the World Cup, 50 days away, but I came here to get my space.”

Moreover, Bremer also felt grateful that at Juve he gets plenty of help from his fellow Brazilians, Alex Sandro, and Danilo.

“I spoke a lot with Danilo, with Alex Sandro, they helped me with some things,” the defender revealed.

“Being my first time, they give me advice, they’re people who helped me at Juventus, they’re always a supporting point for me.”
