Cannavaro claims Juventus aren’t ready to win Scudetto

Former Juventus, Napoli, and Italy defender Fabio Cannavaro shared his thoughts on Juventus and the upcoming Serie A season in an interview with Corriere dello Sport, where he downplayed the Bianconeri’s chances of claiming the Scudetto.

« Who wins the Scudetto? I would say Inter or Milan, with Roma not far behind, » Cannavaro stated. « The past counts, and Pioli and Inzaghi start with a significant advantage. »

When asked about Juventus, Cannavaro acknowledged their strong start to the summer transfer window but highlighted key challenges.

« Juventus? They began the summer with two major signings, but losing Pogba to injury is a big blow—this is just bad luck. However, they still lack something else. Replacing players like Chiellini and Dybala is incredibly difficult. These are significant voids to fill. I see Juventus in a moment of transition, shifting from one era to another. »

Juventus are set to kick off their Serie A campaign on Monday evening, entering the season with question marks about their readiness to compete for the title.
