Chelsea are now set to hold new talks in their move for Juventus defender Matthijs de Ligt this summer.
Juventus could indeed end up selling De Ligt this summer and the Dutchman is yet to sign a new deal, having made it clear that he is more keen on knowing about the project than the finances of a potential move or a stay.
While it has been reported that Chelsea are willing to insert Timo Werner in a potential deal and offer cash as well, Alfredo Pedulla has reported that a conference call involving the Blues and the Dutch defender is about to take place soon.
It was stated recently that Juve would be happy to have Werner as part of the deal and the player would be happy to move to the Bianconeri as well. But the two clubs are yet to finalise any terms of an exit for De Ligt.
