Juventus veteran Giorgio Chiellini has stated that he would put achievements with the national team above those with Juventus.
Chiellini is set to depart the Bianconeri in the summer for free and he played his last home game for the club against Lazio. He has recently stated that he would put winning the Euros with Italy over any other achievement with Juve.
In an Instagram live with Niccolini Palli State Institute of Higher Education (via Calciomercato), the defender said: “On the pitch, the victory of the European Championship is something unique. The national team also beats Juve, with all the love and respect I have for Juve, because it cuts down all the cheering for different teams, seeing the whole nation celebrate after Covid, 37 years after the problems. I had no I thought I would get there.”
He also spoke about his future in the game and stated: “I have been thinking about various things for weeks, I would like an experience abroad but I have to evaluate the pros and cons, leave Turin, move the family with small children, I am still in a phase of thoughts, I keep them pending “
Chiellini won 20 trophies with the Bianconeri during his stay at the club. He reached two Champions League finals and became an emblem for club and country.
