Juventus defender, Matthijs De Ligt shows his responsibility and leadership in aftermath of their defeat against Atalanta by asking his teammates to greet the fans.
The Bianconeri suffered another disappointing night on Saturday as they lost 1-0 against the Orobici. Playing in front of their home crowd, there was plenty of disappointed voices after the match, especially from the fans.
Juventus fans were already voicing their disappointment during halftime break but it got even louder after the final whistle. It was not a pleasant situation for the players as many of them immediately went into the locker room.
Only five players, De Ligt, Leonardo Bonucci, Juan Cuadrado, Paulo Dybala, and Wojciech Szczesny remain on the pitch. According to Corriere dello Sport (via Juventusnews24), it was the Dutch defender who asked his teammates to stay for a while and greet the fans.
They went under the Curva Sud and apologize for a disappointing result before heading to the locker room with their heads down.
Despite still receiving plenty of criticism, De Ligt at least was able to show another side of his quality outside of the technical aspect.
