Mattia De Sciglio will miss Juventus’ weekend clash against AC Milan due to a hamstring injury.
The Bianconeri, aiming to maintain their recent positive form, will face the Rossoneri at San Siro without one of their dependable defenders. De Sciglio sustained the injury during Juventus’ Champions League match against Maccabi Haifa on Wednesday. Unable to complete the game, he was substituted by Alex Sandro.
Following medical examinations, Juventus confirmed that De Sciglio suffered a medium-degree injury to the rectus femoris muscle in his right hamstring. According to Football Italia, the versatile full-back will undergo another assessment in 10 days, ruling him out of Saturday’s crucial Milan encounter.
Additionally, De Sciglio is unlikely to feature in Juve’s upcoming Champions League match against Maccabi Haifa on Tuesday. With a demanding schedule ahead, Juventus will be hoping to avoid further injuries within their squad.
