Juventus legend Alessandro Del Piero wants his former club to send a positive signal in their weekend clash against Inter.
The Bianconeri will be eager to bounce back from another disappointing Champions League fixture on Wednesday. Massimilano Allegri’s men suffered another defeat against PSG, which was their fifth from six group stage matches.
There was some positive signs though from that disappointing result as Juve put on a pretty solid performance. The Old Lady will be hoping that they can take that positive sign as they face Inter in Serie A next Sunday.
Former Juventus star, Alessandro Del Piero expects Massimiliano Allegri’s men to put on a strong performance this weekend. Del Piero wants to the Bianconeri to show that their fine display against PSG are not just a one-off game.
The former striker insist that Juventus must be able to send a signal that they can still compete in Serie A this season.
“The derby D’Italia will be nice and firey,” Del Piero told Sky Sport(via Juventusnews24).
“Juve must be able to showcase the positives from their clash against PSG. Inter are an old rival and we know what’s behind the rivalry.”
“Playing at home, Juve must send a signal to the league,” the former striker added.
