Denis Zakaria is fit and ready for Thursday night’s Coppa Italia clash against Sassuolo.

The Swiss international, who made a dream debut by scoring for Juventus last weekend, had to leave the field shortly afterward due to a minor injury. However, following tests at J Medical, the 25-year-old has been cleared to play and is available for selection by coach Massimiliano Allegri.

Zakaria shared his excitement on Twitter, posting a training photo with the caption, « Getting ready for the Coppa Italia on Thursday. » Both Zakaria and fellow new signing Dusan Vlahovic could feature in the match against Sassuolo, though Allegri will also be mindful of Sunday’s crucial Serie A showdown in Bergamo against Atalanta.

The coach has emphasized the importance of the Coppa Italia, a trophy Juventus are eager to reclaim, having won five of the last seven editions.
