Italia media slams Morata’s performance in Juve’s defeat against Atalanta

Alvaro Morata’s performance in Juventus 1-0 defeat from Atalanta received many negative ratings from Italian media.

The Spanish striker was given another chance to lead Juve’s forward line with Paulo Dybala on Saturday. Unfortunately, it was not a positive performance from the former Real Madrid man.

Aside from his struggle to score, Morata also played a part in the only goal that Atalanta scored from Duvan Zapata’s strike.

The Spanish international gives the ball away in midfield which leads to Zapata scoring for his team.

The top Italian media, La Gazzetta dello Sport, Tuttosport, and Corriere dello Sport all give the striker a low rating.

Both GdS and CorSport agree that Morata deserved a 4.5 mark, while Tuttosport went slightly higher with 5.

The striker was eventually replaced by Kaio Jorge in the last few minutes of that encounter at Allianz Stadium. It was another disappointing math for Morata whose last goal for Juve in Serie A came against Milan in week four.
