Juve star Bonucci explains Allegri’s PSG statement

Leonardo Bonucci believes Massimiliano Allegri wants to ease the pressure on Juventus players with his recent statement regarding PSG.

During his press conference on Saturday, Allegri said that the Bianconeri must be realistic ahead of their clash against the Ligue 1 side. The tactician claims that PSG are the favourite and Juve’s most important battle in their Champions League group would be against Benfica.

That statement didn’t get a warm reception, especially among Juventus fans as they expect their team to keep battling against any top teams.

However, Juve’s defender, Leonardo Bonucci tried to clarify his coach’s controversial statement. According to Bonucci, Allegri only wants to ease the pressure on the Old Lady players ahead of their tough game.

The Italian international ensures that Juventus players treat their UCL game against PSG as an important fixture. Bonucci also believes that his team will put on a strong performance on Tuesday.

Moreover, he also urges his teammates to give their all and have fun when they play against PSG.

“I smile because we all know the coach, he said that to ease the pressure,” Bonucci said in his press conference(via Football Italia).

“The most important game is tomorrow, but we’ll have to face Benfica for the qualification.”

“On Champions League nights, something changes, you’ll see a great Juventus tomorrow,” the defender claim.

“We should not forget that it’s one of those games where we must have fun, we dreamed of playing these games as kids.”
