Juve star pulls out of international duty after injury scare

Bad news has arrived today for Juventus as young midfielder Fabio Miretti has pulled out of international duty with Italy U21 after he suffered an ankle injury in training. The player will now return to Turin to undergo medical assessments in view of the Bianconeri’s next match against Bologna after the international break ends.

According to what has been reported by TuttoJuve today, Miretti left his international colleagues yesterday afternoon and this will come as a great scare to Juve fans and head coach Massimiliano Allegri.

Miretti has been a real breakthrough star this season. Allegri gambled on him, sending Arthur Melo and Denis Zakaria on loan spells to Liverpool and Chelsea respectively, and it appeared as though the risk had paid off, with the youngster one of the Bianconeri’s brightest stars amid a rather dismal start to the campaign.

Juventus will now be praying and wishing that Miretti’s injury is not that serious and that he will be available for the clash against Bologna.
