Juventus consider Griezmann move

Juventus are thinking about making a move for on-loan Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann, given the Frenchman’s contractual situation that could see him leave Barcelona on a free next summer.

According to what has been reported by TuttoJuve, the Bianconeri could make a move for the French star if Angel Di Maria refuses to extend his contract at the club past the initial first year.

Griezmann is currently on loan with Los Colchoneros but has been the topic of much discussion in recent weeks. Atletico have a dependent-obligation-to-buy in which they must complete the permanent purchase of the former Sociedad forward if he plays a certain amount of minutes.

Atleti now face legal action from Barcelona after giving him just 30-minute spells on the pitch to avoid reaching the minute cap that would mean they have to exercise the obligation to buy.

As long as this situation is resolved, Griezmann could still move next summer and Juventus will be waiting patiently to see what happens.
