Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic has revealed the truth about Arsenal’s approach for him.
Vlahovic, in controversial circumstances, had joined Juve from Fiorentina in January and while his form has dipped a bit under Massimiliano Allegri, he remains a crucial part of the club’s present and future.
Vlahovic recently gave an interview to the Telegraph and he revealed details about Arsenal’s failed move for him back in the January transfer window.
“Maybe my agent knows [about Arsenal’s offer] but I never talked to anyone about it. I just had one club in mind because Juventus is Juventus.”
The move to the Bianconeri had come about suddenly in January as the offer was made and the move was done within a matter of days, even though Arsenal had made bids to sign the Serbian.
The striker further stated: “There is nothing else to say. And now I feel honoured to be given this jersey. It’s incredible every time I put it on.”
Vlahovic went on to say that he identifies with the Bianconeri DNA and the club’s personality coincides with his own. He vowed to give his all and fight till the end.
He scored seven goals for the club during the 2021/22 Serie A season, while scoring 18 times for La Viola in the first half of the campaign as well.
