Juventus face two obstacles in potential move for Man City star

Juventus’ potential move to sign Manchester City’s Gabriel Jesus faces obstacles around transfer fees and wages.

The Old Lady continue their attempt in trying to improve its squad next season by targeting new players. Juve are looking to add new names in every area, including the attacking department.

Despite the arrival of Dusan Vlahovic, Massimiliano Allegri is not fully satisfied with their offence. In an attempt to fulfill their coach’s wish, Juve are reportedly eyeing Man City’s striker, Gabriel Jesus.

The Brazilian international would be available for transfer next summer following Erling Haaland’s arrival at City.

However, the Bianconeri’s ambition in signing Jesus for next season will be far from easy or cheap. As reported by Corriere dello Sport(via Juventusnews24), Juve will face two financial obstacles if they want to sign the striker.

Man City reportedly asked for at least €60m for Jesus, a request which they revealed to Arsenal. Considering that his contract will expire in 2023, Juve are unlikely to pay that amount of money.

Another issue would be regarding his wages as the striker will most likely want to earn around €6m net per season plus bonuses. That number is close to Juve’s salary cap which is at €7.5m
