Juventus make Martial & Origi their January wildcards

Juve’s search for a number nine continues with Mauro Icardi still understood to be top of the wish-list.

The Bianconeri have been in negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain over a possible season-long loan, but the Parisian’s are reluctant and want promises beyond the end of the current campaign.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via juventusnews24.com) Juventus Sporting Director Federico Cherubini’s patience looks to be wearing a little thin. The journal now reporting that he could be about to change the direction of his strategy.

With Federico Chiesa now out for the season and coach Max Allegri claiming Spanish frontman Alvaro Morata is going nowhere, the Bianconeri are understood to be looking at two stars from the Premier League.

Manchester United’s Anthony Martial and Liverpool’s Divock Origi are both reportedly looking for new club’s this month, with both being given the blessings of their respective employers, to search elsewhere for game time.

With Juventus working around a tight transfer budget, both players fit the profile and both are reportedly of interest to Allegri.

The Bianconeri’s lack of goals makes for difficult reading having only netted 43 times so far this campaign, their lowest total for this stage of the season since 2012.
