Juventus reignite interest in Chelsea outcast

Juventus have resumed discussions with Chelsea defender Emerson Palmieri over a potential transfer, following Luca Pellegrini’s loan move to Eintracht Frankfurt.

According to SportMediaset, the Bianconeri are once again pursuing the Italian international after previous attempts to sign him fell through. However, Juventus face competition, as Lazio have also been named as a possible destination for the Chelsea left-back.

Despite interest from multiple clubs, Juventus reportedly remain optimistic about their chances of signing Emerson. However, in his press conference ahead of Juventus’ Serie A opener against Sassuolo, coach Massimiliano Allegri suggested the club may not pursue a replacement for Pellegrini. Allegri stated that the current four full-backs in the squad are sufficient for the season.

Meanwhile, Emerson’s future remains uncertain, with the possibility of securing a move elsewhere or even reviving his career under Thomas Tuchel at Chelsea.
