Juventus rekindle interest in Atalanta forward Muriel

Juventus have reportedly reignited their interest in signing Atalanta striker Luis Muriel in this summer transfer window.

The Bianconeri are still working to bolster their squad ahead of the new season by targeting more new players. One of the departments they are keen on upgrading is the attack as they still want another striker.

Juve’s main target for that position is still Alvaro Morata but negotiations with Atletico Madrid have been difficult. Looking for an alternative, the Bianconeri are reportedly rekindling their interest in Atalanta’s Luis Muriel.

The Colombian was already considered as an option for Juve earlier this summer but they never follow up on their interest. However, according to Calciomercato.com(via Football Italia), the Bianconeri are ready to make a serious move for Muriel.

Juventus have reportedly contacted La Dea to ask about the Colombian international’s potential transfer. Unfortunately, both teams are far from reaching an agreement at the moment.

Juve consider Atalanta’s €15m asking price for Muriel too expensive, but they could negotiate to lower that transfer fee.
