Juventus rekindle interest in Atalanta forward Muriel

Juventus have reportedly reignited their pursuit of Atalanta striker Luis Muriel during this summer transfer window.

The Bianconeri are actively working to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season, with a particular focus on bolstering their attack. While Alvaro Morata remains their primary target, negotiations with Atletico Madrid have proven challenging. As a result, Juventus are now revisiting their interest in Muriel as a viable alternative.

The Colombian striker was previously on Juve’s radar earlier this summer, but no progress was made at the time. According to Calciomercato.com (via Football Italia), Juventus are now prepared to make a serious push for Muriel.

Reports indicate that Juventus have contacted Atalanta to explore the possibility of a transfer. However, the two clubs are currently far from reaching an agreement.

Juventus view Atalanta’s €15 million asking price for Muriel as too high and are expected to negotiate in an effort to lower the fee. Muriel’s proven goal-scoring ability makes him a strong candidate to bolster the Bianconeri’s attacking options.
