Juventus remain determined to sign AZ Alkmaar left-back Owen Wijndal as they prepare to strengthen their squad for the next season.
The Bianconeri are focusing on reinforcing several positions, with the left-back spot being a priority. The club is reportedly dissatisfied with Alex Sandro’s performances and is actively seeking a replacement for the Brazilian.
Among the targets Juventus are monitoring, AZ Alkmaar’s Wijndal stands out as their top choice. While other names like Genoa’s Andrea Cambiaso and Udinese’s Destiny Udogie have been linked, Wijndal is reportedly the preferred candidate for the role.
According to Calciomercato.com (via Football Italia), Juventus have been in talks with Wijndal’s representatives for over a year, and personal terms are not expected to be an issue.
However, Juventus have yet to reach an agreement with AZ Alkmaar, who are reportedly asking for €15 million. The Bianconeri, meanwhile, are unwilling to pay more than €10 million for the 22-year-old Dutch international. Negotiations are expected to continue as Juventus look to secure their top target for the position.
