Juventus have reportedly contacted Gianluca Petrachi to potentially fill the sporting director role at the club.
The Bianconeri are eager to steady the ship and return to winning ways after two disappointing seasons. However, the early signs so far this season hasn’t been promising amid their activity in the transfer market.
Aside from some negative results, fans are more concerned with the lack of quality Juve showed in their performances. Aside from eyeing future reinforcements on the pitch, the Old Lady are also working to improve the squad by targeting a new sporting director.
According to Il Giornale(via Football Italia), Juve already started their search for a director by contacting Gianluca Petrachi.
The former Torino director is quite well-known in Serie A and his work seems to be appreciated by the Bianconeri’s management.
If Juve do appoint Petrachi, it might trigger rumors of Antonio Conte’s potential return to Turin. The Tottenham Hotspur boss is a good friend of the director, so a potential deal might be in the cards.
However, for now, Juventus are still keen on Allegri as sacking him would also cost them a lot of money.
