Juventus start talks with Sassuolo for Berardi as Di Maria deal in jeopardy

Juventus have reportedly initiated talks with Sassuolo for the signing of Domenico Berardi as a potential alternative to Angel Di Maria.

The Bianconeri have identified Di Maria as their primary target to strengthen their attack for the upcoming season. Negotiations with the Argentine’s representatives have been ongoing, but progress has been slow.

Adding to the challenge is reported interest from Barcelona, which complicates Juventus’ pursuit of Di Maria and increases the likelihood of the deal falling through.

To prepare for this possibility, Juventus’ management have turned their attention to other options. According to Sky Sport (via ilbianconero.com), the club has begun discussions with Sassuolo for Berardi. The Italian international has long been on Juve’s radar, and this summer could be the right time to secure his signature.

Talks with Sassuolo are still in the early stages, as Juventus also have other targets in mind, including Filip Kostic and Mykhaylo Mudryk. Berardi, however, remains a strong contender to join the Bianconeri next season.
