Juventus director Federico Cherubini will reportedly meet with Atletico Madrid’s management to discuss Alvaro Morata’s potential transfer.
The Bianconeri are not giving up hope on getting Morata back for the upcoming season. The Spanish international striker returned to Atletico this summer as his two-year loan deal in Turin expired.
Juventus initially have an option to sign Morata permanently for €35m but they didn’t trigger it. The Bianconeri believe that Atleti’s asking price for the 28-year-old forward is too much.
Juve only want to pay €15m for Morata, but Los Rojiblancos were not keen on giving any discount. Negotiation have been tough, but the Old Lady will make another attempt soon.
As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport(via Juventunews24), Juventus’ director, Cherubini will meet Atletico’s management during their friendly game in Tel Aviv next Sunday.
That date could be a decisive one for Juve to understand whether they will be able to get Morata back or not.
If Atletico continue to reject the Bianconeri’s proposal, they could turn to another alternative. Aside from Morata, Juventus are also considering other profiles such as Luis Muriel, Anthony Martial, and Memphis Depay.
