Lazio to challenge Juventus for Chelsea owned defender Emerson

Lazio are ready to compete with Juventus for the signature of Chelsea-owned full-back, Emerson Palmieri.

The Italian international will return to Stamford Bridge next summer after finishing his loan move to Lyon. However, Emerson might be on for a short stay as he could be heading for another exit.

The defender has been linked with several clubs, including Juve who consider him as a replacement for Alex Sandro. The Bianconeri could make their move soon now that Chelsea have sorted out their ownership issue.

It won’t be an easy deal though for Juve as they will face fierce competition for Emerson with Lazio also keen. According to Calciomercato.com(via TuttoJuve), the Biancocelesti are also targeting the Italian international to satisfy Maurizio Sarri’s request.

Lazio will definitely push hard to snatch Emerson as they’re keen on improving their squad next season.

Aside from Emerson, the Bianconeri are also targeting other names such as Andrea Cambiaso(Genoa), Destiny Udogie (Udinese), and Owen Wijndal (AZ Alkmaar).
