Juventus supporters have been picking up on reports this week that their club needs to invest in new midfield players.
The central areas are certainly an area that coach Max Allegri would like to strengthen, but the club’s transfer policy in January remains the same – short-term loan deals with no obligation to buy.
Former Bianconeri great Claudio Marchisio has responded to fans this week who tweeted that he should make a dramatic return to the club to answer the call.
Marchisio jokingly responded that there was no way he could make the difference anymore because the reason he retired from football was due to his knees no longer not being able to withstand 90 minutes.
The Turin born former Italian international did give Juventini some hope however, claiming that he may return one day in an executive capacity.
Marchisio played 295 top-flight games scoring 33 goals. He was promoted into the Juventus first-team back in 2005.
