Former Juventus star Massimo Mauro has doubts over the Bianconeri’s chance to win the Scudetto this season.
The Bianconeri are eager to get back into winning ways after failing to compete for the league title in the previous two seasons. Juventus’ big ambition can be seen from their aggressive moves in the summer transfer window.
So far, they have signed the likes of Paul Pogba, Angel Di Maria, Gleison Bremer, and Filip Kostic to improve their squad. Multiple reports suggest that they are not done yet as at least two more players could still arrive.
Although they also lost important players such as Matthijs De Ligt and Giorgio Chiellini, they are making concrete moves to bolster the squad. Juve’s active transfer window seems to reignite many people’s confidence in their shot at winning the Scudetto.
However, former Juve midfielder, Massimo Mauro still has some doubts regarding Massimiliano Allegri’s squad.
Despite their transfer moves, Mauro doesn’t think the Bianconeri have enough firepower to win the league.
“Juve are among the favorites to compete for the Scudetto but I don’t think they have the numbers needed to win,” Mauro told La Gazzetta dello Sport(via ilbianconero.com).
“An attack that can get 50 goals is needed. I think Vlahovic, Di Maria, and Chiesa can get around 35 goals and that’s not enough.”
