Former Juventus player turned commentator, Massimo Mauro, claims Sassuolo are currently a better side that his former club.
Speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via juventusnews24.com) Mauro pulled no punches when he was asked who had the best strike-force in Serie A.
“First Inter, then Atalanta followed by Napoli and Milan”.
He then expanded on his comment claiming; “Before Juventus I would also put Sassuolo. They have (Giacomo) Raspadori and (Gianluca) Scamacca and they play a better brand of football”.
With Brazilian midfielder Arthur now linked with a January move away from Turin, Mauro was keen to comment that it had been; “Pointless selling (Miralem) Pjanic (who left to go to Barcelona in a swap deal involving the Brazilian). Arthur does not have the quality so it made no sense”.
When asked about Juve’s current frontline he left no stone unturned when he described Alvaro Morata as “Lacking a killer instinct” and Moise Kean as having; “Limits to his ability. He even struggles to control the ball sometimes”.
He concluded by offering coach Max Allegri some advice;
“I would play Dybala as a centre forward although he suffers too much physically”.
