Monza 1-0 Juventus: Player Ratings as Di Maria Costs Juve

Juventus were defeated 1-0 this afternoon by Serie A new boys Monza – with a red card for Juve winger Angel Di Maria at the end of the first half costing his side greatly in a surprising but not entirely unexpected result.

Monza 1-0 Juventus Player Ratings

Perin 6 – Had a busy afternoon, unlucky to concede but made 3 saves and had some decent distribution.

Danilo 6.5 – One of Juventus’ better players, wore the armband on an unfortunate day.

Bremer 6 – Not too bad, did well defensively and tried to bring the ball forwards when possible.

Gatti 5.5 – Awful display from the 24-year-old, looked constantly on edge.

De Sciglio 6 – Tried, which is more than can be said for some of the players in the Bianconeri team.

Kostic 6 – Quiet match before being taken off in the 78th minute.

Miretti 6.5 – Looked a bit better today than in the Bianconeri’s last few games but did not do enough to help his team get a result.

Paredes 6 – Easily his worst performance in a Juventus shirt yet, the Argentine struggled to make his mark on the match.

McKennie 6 – Quiet, played out on the right which isn’t his best position but did create a couple of half-chances for the Bianconeri.

Vlahovic 5.5 – Involved a lot but often beaten physically by the Monza defence. Fouled more times than anyone else on the pitch, as well as having the most touches out of anyone to play the full 90.

Di Maria 2 – Touched the ball 14 times. Lost the ball once. Committed two fouls. Completed 8 passes. Missed his only shot. Sent off before half-time for a stupid elbow. Catastrophically woeful.
