Monza open talks with Juventus for starlet Miretti

Newly promoted Serie A team, Monza have started talks with Juventus for the potential signing of Fabio Miretti.

The 18-year-old midfielder managed to catch many fans’ attention following his debut for Juve’s senior team last season. Although Miretti mostly played in the last few matches of 2021-22, his performances helped him earn plenty of praise and admirers.

However, Juventus are yet to decide on whether they will keep him or loan him out during the summer. Taking advantage of that situation, the newly-promoted side, Monza are making their move on Miretti.

As reported by Sky Sport’s transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, the Biancorossi had a meeting with Juve on Tuesday for the 18-year-old midfielder.

Monza are keen on signing Miretti on loan to improve their squad in Serie A next season. However, there’s still no agreement between all parties as Massimiliano Allegri is not ready to let the youngster go.

The tactician reportedly would like to take Miretti at least for Juve’s upcoming preseason before making the final decision.
