Napoli may not end up signing Federico Bernardeschi on a free transfer this summer.
Bernardeschi, like Paulo Dybala, will see his Juventus contract expire at the end of the current month and both will be able to join clubs for free. Bernardeschi has been heavily linked with Napoli, with Dybala said to be edging close to a move to Inter.
But now doubts haven’t just emerged about Dybala, as Bernardeschi’s move to Naples might also be in jeopardy.
La Gazzetta dello Sport (via TuttoJuve) claim that the Italian may not move to the Partenopei, as the club believe that his wage demands are too high for their current setup. As a result of that, they can give up the chase.
There is a now chance that the Italy international could spend a few days as a free agent as his deal at Juve expires at the conclusion of this month.
