PSG head coach Christophe Galtier believes that Juventus will still put out a fight this Wednesday despite already being out of the Champions League.
The Bianconeri saw their UCL campaign this season end early following their 4-3 loss against Benfica last midweek. That defeat was Juventus’ fourth in five games, giving them only three points so far in the competition.
However, although don’t have any shot of advancing into the next round, PSG remain cautious over the Bianconeri’s threat.
The Ligue 1 outfit’s head coach, Christophe Galtier has warned his players not to take things lightly on Wednesday. PSG are still pushing to get the top spot in the UCL table, so winning is still a target.
Nevertheless, Galtier believes that Juventus are also keen on pushing for a win in front of their home crowd. The coach explains that the Bianconeri will not be playing just for their pride but also for the Europa League qualification ticket.
“Qualification for the Round of 16 was an obligation for us. Being top of the group will be very important, especially when it comes to the draw,” Galtier said at the press conference(via Football Italia).
“We won’t forget also that Juventus, albeit eliminated, need to qualify for the Europa League.”
“They will fight tooth and nail to achieve this target, as they have history and pride,” the coach revealed.
