Juventus are accelerating their attempt to sign Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder, Denis Zakaria amid competition from Roma and Borussia Dortmund.
The January transfer window is approaching closer and Juve are working to get one of their targets as soon as possible. One of the areas that Massimiliano Allegri’s side are working to improve is their midfield department.
Several players have been monitored but their main candidate to fill that role, for now, is Monchengladbach’s player, Zakaria. The Swiss international suits with what Juventus management are looking for in terms of age and financial.
Zakaria’s contract will end in June 2022, so the could be bought for a discount price in January. However, competition for his signature is fierce that’s why according to Juventusnews24, Juve are accelerating their attempt.
The Old Lady’s director, Federico Cherubini is hoping to beat the competition of Roma and Dortmund that are also pushing for the Switzerland international.
If Juve fail to land Zakaria, their next alternative would be Axel Witsel whose contract is also running out. The Belgium international is actually Allegri’s preferred choice but his age and salary is an issue for Juve’s management.
