Report: Marseille not giving up on keeping Juve and Milan target

Ligue 1 outfit Marseille are still hoping to keep their star midfielder, Boubacar Kamara who is attracting interest from Juventus and Milan.

The French midfielder is a key part of Jorge Sampaoli’s midfield setup but could be leaving the club soon. Kamara’s current deal with Marseille will end on June 2022 and he is yet to sign a renewal.

His profile has been attracting top European teams, including Juventus and Milan as he suits their need. The Bianconeri particularly see Kamara as an opportunity that they should not miss, especially with his contract situation.

However, according to Le Parisien (via Tuttomercatoweb), Marseille are not ready to give up on the 22-year-old just yet. The Olympians are still working to convince Kamara into accepting a new deal with them.

Marseille’s plan is to include a clause that should allow him to leave them at any given season. This will at least allow the Ligue 1 side to get some money from his potential departure instead of letting him walk for free.

From Marseille’s point of view, they certainly hope that Kamara will only move when the time is right and won’t make a rash decision.

Nevertheless, it still won’t be an easy task as from January, Kamara can negotiate pre-contract with other teams. The Bianconeri could be one of the teams that will make an attempt for the starlet in early 2022.
