Revealed: Juventus latest plan to convince Di Maria

Juventus are preparing to offer a 13-month contract worth €9 million in an effort to secure Angel Di Maria’s signature.

The Bianconeri have identified Di Maria as a key target to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season. While negotiations with the player’s representatives are ongoing, an agreement has yet to be reached.

The main sticking point in talks has been the contract duration. Di Maria prefers a one-year deal, while Juventus initially proposed a two-year agreement. However, the club is not giving up and has come up with a creative solution.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Football Italia), Juventus plan to structure the deal over two fiscal years, allowing them to release the player after 13 months.

This arrangement would enable Di Maria to receive €9 million, with Juventus benefiting from the growth-decree tax advantage. The revised proposal could strike a balance that satisfies both parties and bring the 34-year-old Argentinian international to Turin.
