Revealed: The reason Kulusevski remains on the bench in Juve’s loss against Atalanta

Juventus suffered a disappointing 1-0 home defeat against Atalanta and there were some questions on why Dejan Kulusevski didn’t play any part in that match.

The Bianconeri suffered their second consecutive defeat this weekend despite playing at Allianz Stadium. Massimiliano Allegri’s side were hoping to bounce back from their Champions League thumping by Chelsea but left with more disappointment.

Duvan Zapata’s first-half goal was enough to secure all three points for the visitor as Juve struggled upfront. There were several questions regarding Allegri’s choices, one of them was the decision not to give a chance for Kulusevski.

The Sweden international remains on the bench for the whole game but Allegri apparently has his reasons.

He’s(Kulusevski) is fine. We already had Chiesa, Dybala, Morata, we need to respect the opponent,” Allegri told DAZN (via Juventusnews24).

“Rabiot finished the game well anyway, it’s a solution we can try later.”

“Right now, we should talk less, reset everything and start over from Tuesday in a difficult field at Salerno,” the coach said.

Reports are claiming that Kulusevski hasn’t been able to convince Allegri and the winger could be on his way out in January.
