There have been plenty of twists and turns in the Ronaldo transfer saga in the past couple of hours. Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri confirmed that the Portuguese attacker wanted to leave the club.

Ronaldo left Turin today and was strongly linked to Manchester City. However, the Premier League champions decided not to negotiate further.

United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hinted that the club are interested in signing him. The Red Devils have also sent a contract offer to Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes while sending an official bid to Juve.

Ronaldo’s first spell at Manchester United saw him score 118 goals in 292 matches for them. He won nine trophies with them including the Champions League.
