Rugani “Not going anywhere in January”

The agent of Juventus central defender Daniele Rugani has declared that his client will not be leaving Juventus in the January window.

Davide Torchia (via calciomercato.com) has also stated that he is now in negotiations with the Bianconeri on possible improvements to his current contract.

The 27-year-old has been indispensable to coach Max Allegri, deputising for the injured Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini who contracted Covid-19.

Despite constant transfer speculation, Rugani has quietly gone about his business and recent performances prove he is still a vital part of Allegri’s squad.

Rugani’s contract runs until 2024 and there is talk that the Bianconeri are ready to make an improved offer on the €3m-per-season he currently receives.

Once again however, there is speculation that the player could be moved on if he fails to agree on any new proposal. Juventus are currently looking to trim their playing budget as well as their transfer kitty.
