Sampdoria are reportedly closing in on a deal to sign Juventus defender Daniele Rugani, who appears to be outside Massimiliano Allegri’s plans for the upcoming season.
Rugani’s future at Juventus seems increasingly uncertain, with a summer exit likely. The former Empoli player struggled for playing time last season, and his situation is unlikely to improve in the new campaign.
While Allegri isn’t opposed to keeping him, Juventus are reportedly eager to sell Rugani to create financial flexibility and free up squad space for potential new signings.
Despite limited minutes at Juventus, Rugani has attracted interest from several clubs. According to Tuttosport (via Juventusnews24), Sampdoria have emerged as the frontrunner to secure his signature.
Although Galatasaray also made an offer, Rugani reportedly prefers to stay in Italy, putting Sampdoria in pole position. The move is expected to be a loan deal, with Juventus assisting by covering half of Rugani’s salary to facilitate the transfer.
