Sampdoria edge closer to signing Juventus outcast Rugani

Sampdoria are reportedly edging closer to securing the signature of Juventus defender Daniele Rugani who is not part of Massimiliano Allegri’s plan.

Rugani’s future seems to be heading away from Turin as he could be leaving the Bianconeri this summer. The former Empoli player was struggling to get playing time last season and things are unlikely to change next season.

Although head coach, Massimiliano Allegri won’t oppose keeping him, Juve seem keen on selling him. Rugani’s departures could open up space and give financial leverage for the Bianconeri that can help them get new players.

Despite his struggle in getting minutes with Juve, Rugani apparently is not short of suitors. However, according to Tuttosport(via Juventusnews24), it’s Sampdoria that are the likeliest destination for him.

Although there’s another offer from Galatasaray, the defender is not keen on leaving Italy this summer. That’s why La Samp are in pole to secure Rugani’s signature on a loan deal.

Juventus will reportedly aid the move by paying half of Rugani’s salary to facilitate his move this summer.
