Tottenham to battle Chelsea for Juventus midfielder Rabiot

Tottenham Hotspur could challenge Chelsea for the signature of Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot.

The French international was one of the players Massimiliano Allegri counted on last season. Although his performances received plenty of criticism, Rabiot still made 45 competitive appearances for Juve.

However, Allegri’s trust this past season might not be enough to keep him at Allianz Stadium next season. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus remain open to letting him leave.

The Bianconeri’s plan to sign Paul Pogba could accelerate Rabiot’s potential departure from the Bianconeri. Despite his unconvincing performances, the ex-PSG man is not short of suitors.

Chelsea are reportedly keen on signing him for a while now and could finally make their move. They won’t be the only Premier League that’s on his trail though as Tottenham also considering his profile.

Spurs’ director, Fabio Paratici was the one who brought him to Turin when he still worked at Juve back in 2019. The director might be tempted to sign him again next summer.
