When people debate which players former Ballon d’Or winning midfielder Luka Modric can be compared to, debates may be drawn in the direction of the likes of Zinedine Zidane, Andrea Pirlo, Xavi – really midfield masterminds who don’t rely on speed or power, but instead technical ability. However, one viral video doing the rounds at the moment compares the Croatian talisman to Juventus midfielder Federico Bernardeschi.
Now this may not be the first comparison that comes to mind for Modric – but the video clearly shows some striking similarities between the two. This comes as Juventus become the latest club to be linked with a move for the experienced playmaker – looking to bolster their midfield ranks this summer in an attempt to bulk-up in preparation for a title assault next season.
