Werner to Juventus: the truth about the Old Lady’s interest in Chelsea striker – Exclusive

According to reports from England, Juventus are among the clubs interested in signing Chelsea striker Timo Werner, who has fallen out of favor at Stamford Bridge.

The German forward has scored two goals in eight appearances across all competitions this season. However, the arrival of Romelu Lukaku has significantly limited his playing time, and according to the Daily Express, the 25-year-old could seek a move away from London during the January transfer window.

Juventus are mentioned as one of the top European clubs considering a move for Werner. The report highlights that, while Werner’s goal ratio at Chelsea has been underwhelming, « a change of scenery and intensity could benefit both him and Juventus. »

Despite this, JFCNews suggests that the Bianconeri are unlikely to pursue Werner in January, as their priority target remains Dusan Vlahovic for a summer move. Even if Werner becomes available on a loan deal with an option to buy, Juventus may not act.

The club already has Alvaro Morata, who could make his move to Turin permanent for €35 million, as well as 19-year-old Brazilian prospect Kaio Jorge, signed from Santos last summer. Jorge, however, was not included in Juve’s Champions League squad.

Given their current roster, it’s unclear how Werner would fit into the Bianconeri lineup, leaving his potential move to Turin uncertain.
