Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri reportedly expects Angel Di Maria to hit the ground running again after the international break.
The Argentinian international is yet to fully show his impact at the Bianconeri in a consistent manner. After an excellent start in Juventus’ Serie A opener against Sassuolo, Di Maria has been struggling with injuries.
Things didn’t get much better in recent games, especially during Juve’s clash against Monza before the international break. Di Maria got a sending-off after being accused of elbowing the opponent’s defender.
This means the Argentinian international will miss Juve two league games but he will be available in Europe. Although he won’t be available against Bologna and Milan, the Bianconeri expect Di Maria to be key for their UCL double-header versus Maccabi Haifa.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport(via Juventusnews24), Massimiliano Allegri is expecting one thing from the Argentinian international. The tactician is hoping that Di Maria will hit the ground running again after the international break.
Juve’s next UCL game will be crucial in keeping their shot at advancing into the knockout stage of that competition. Once he finishes his suspension in Serie A, the Bianconeri are also expecting Di Maria to help them get back into winning ways.
